Marriage License Marriage licenses can be obtained at the Butler County Register of Wills Office in the Butler County Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St., Butler. For marriage application information, call the hotline at 724-284-5379 or visit www.co.butler.pa.us. To obtain a copy of a license, you must know both marrying persons’ names at the time of application, as well as the date or general time frame in which they applied for a marriage license. If the office must research the license, there is a $4 fee. There is a $5 fee for a certified copy of the marriage license or application. Driver’s License Call the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Driver’s License Center in Pointe Plaza, New Castle Road, at 724-284-1424. Driver’s manuals and other information are available there. Learner’s permits cost $31 and testing is done by appointment only. Driver’s license renewal fees are $26. Hunting License Hunting licenses are sold at many stores and the Butler County Treasurer’s office in the Butler County Government Center at 124 W. Diamond St., Butler. Fishing License Fishing licenses are sold at many stores and at the Butler County Treasurer’s office in the Butler County Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St., Butler. Fishing licenses cost $22 for residents, plus another $9 for a trout stamp. Youths younger than 16 years old do not need a license. Seniors can buy a lifetime fishing license for $51 and a trout stamp for $9. A senior annual license is $11. Anyone who wants to fish in Lake Erie or it’s tributaries must purchase a Lake Erie stamp for $9. A combination Lake Erie and trout stamp is available for $15. Dog License Dog licenses can be obtained at the Butler County Treasurer’s office in the government center, 124 W. Diamond St., Butler. The cost is $8, or $6 if the dog is spayed or neutered.
